Wagga Wagga City Council as the coordinator for ClubGRANTS is now inviting applications for funding towards your local community service needs and priorities from the ClubGRANTS scheme. The ClubGRANTS scheme allows registered clubs with annual gaming machine revenue exceeding $1 million to apply a percentage of that revenue to specific development and support projects. At least 50% of funding from each club is to be allocated to Category 1 projects.
The committee has placed a high priority on the below priorities for the Wagga Wagga LGA under Category 1 Funding;
- Early Childhood and Family Services
- Women and Family Health
- Childcare Services
Further to the above priorities and dependent on funds available, the committee will consider other priorities listed by Clubgrants NSW ranging from Aged, Disability, Youth, Emergency, Transport, Education and Employment Training Areas.
Applications open 9:00am Monday 4 March 2019 and close 5:00pm Friday 26 April 2019.
For enquiries please contact Michelle Castle at City of Wagga Wagga on 1300 292 442 during office hours.
The ClubGRANTS scheme is a state wide initiative that provides the framework for registered clubs to directly fund local priority projects and services.
The funding provided by this scheme assists groups that may not have otherwise been able to secure financial assistance and helps to ensure valued services and projects continue to be delivered.
Funding allocations are made by a local committee made up of a representative from each of the participating clubs, City of Wagga Wagga, Family and Community Services and a non government representative.
