Exhibition of Planning Proposal
(Amendment to Wagga Wagga Local Environmental Plan 2010)
Aim: To publicly exhibit the Planning Proposal seeking to rezone land and amend the minimum lot size map, floor space ratio map, and height of buildings map within the Wagga Wagga Local Government Area.
The planning proposal contains the following amendments:
Rezone land occupied by the Collingullie Hotel from RU1 Primary Production to RU5 Village to reflect existing use on the site and reduce the minimum lot size from 200 hectares to nil.
Barrington St, Tatton
Adjust the E2 Environmental Conservation zoning boundary to several properties currently zoned part R1 General Residential and part E2 Environmental Conservation. This provides for residential development on sites currently restricted by the E2 Environmental Conservation zone. This will ensure the zoning is consistent with the approved building envelopes for the subject properties.
210 Tarcutta St, Wagga Wagga
Rezone the Masonic Centre and carpark from SP1 Public Buildings to B3 Commercial Core to provide for additional uses. The new controls will also include a floor space ratio of 2:1, and a maximum building height of 16 metres, consistent with the remainder of the surrounding B3 Commercial Core zone.
Adjust the zone boundary and rezone land from RE1 to R1 General Residential on land at Estella to be consistent with the approved subdivision for the area.
368-370 Edward St, Wagga Wagga
Rezone land (currently occupied by Barbecues Galore) from IN2 Light Industrial to B5 Business Development. The use is consistent with the surrounding B5 Business Development zone in Dobney Ave and Pearson St.
Exhibition Period: 27 April 2013 to 26 May 2013 (inclusive)
Inspection Venue: The Planning Proposal and supporting documentation is available for inspection at Wagga Wagga Civic Centre, Customer Service Centre, cnr Baylis and Morrow Sts Wagga Wagga, during the hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday or below.
Submission Procedure: Any person or organisation wishing to make a written submission in relation to the Planning Proposal should do so prior to the close of the exhibition period. Submissions may be hand-delivered to the Customer Service Centre or mailed to The General Manager, Wagga Wagga City Council, PO Box 20, Wagga Wagga NSW 2650 or emailed to email@example.com
Persons making written submissions regarding the above Planning Proposal are advised that any submission received within the submission period will be subject to the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 and the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act (PIPPA) and may be attached to the final report, in its entirety or in part, to Council unless explicitly requested by the person making the submission that they do not wish this to occur.
