The Wagga Wagga Art Gallery are delighted to announce a new set of printmaking workshops for high school students. These workshops, conducted by Christina Reid, a well-known local print maker, presently teaching at TAFE, will give students the opportunities to move beyond the usual parameters of school art programs. Students will be building capacity and resilience for sustainable lifelong learning in the creative arts through these enriching and rewarding workshops that support their development through a slow creative process, but one that enables faster production of the final artworks.

At the conclusion of the workshops the students will leave with expanded creative knowledge and skills as well as a take home tool kit.

With a background in Graphic Design and a love of old school, hands-on processes, Christina is a multi-disciplinary graphic artist who specialises in the areas of printmaking, drawing and illustration. Christina exhibits her work regularly, and having many years of experience as a teacher, she often runs classes and associated workshops for all ages and levels of experience.

These workshops have been proudly funded by Australian Decorative & Fine Arts Societies (ADFAS) , who also donated the press that is integral to this activity.  ADFAS has an ongoing commitment to support and foster art opportunities at the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery for young people.
