NSW Rural Fire Service facility construction
About the projects
Wagga Wagga City Council manages the construction and upgrade of 32 NSW Rural Fire Service facilities within the local government area.
The project management role is undertaken by the Project Management Office within the Commercial Operations Directorate.
A new RFS Station at Tarcutta was officially opened in July 2018. Construction and project management of the $250,000 project was overseen by Wagga Wagga City Council.
Projects underway in the 2018/19 financial year include the installation of new toilet facilities at the Brucedale and Ladysmith RFS sheds.
The Mangoplah and Collingullie RFS sheds will undergo toilet upgrades in the 2019/20 financial year. These toilet upgrades will ensure RFS sheds meet new government regulations.
Future projects include the proposed new Umbango RFS Shed.

The NSW Rural Fire Service funds the maintenance and upgrade of facilities and the construction of the new facilities within the Wagga Wagga local government area and project management is undertaken by Wagga Wagga City Council.
