NAIDOC Week- Wawi Festival

Wawi Festival 9-16 September

Wagga Wagga NAIDOC Week celebrations will take place in September this year and are an opportunity to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and to recognise the contributions of Indigenous Australians in various fields. All Australians are encouraged to participate.

This year the Wagga NAIDOC Committee have created a cultural festival with activities for the whole family to enjoy, including:

* NAIDOC Yarn Up

* 'Because of Her, We Can' High Tea

* Cultural Tour of Aboriginal Significant Sites

* NAIDOC Ball & Awards

* WAWI Cultural Day
