Home Library Service
If you have the time, we have the books!
The Home Library Service is a joint initiative between the Wagga Wagga City Library and Home and Community Care (HACC). This free service enables eligible members to remain connected with the community and receive books and library resources to their homes.
This innovative project depends on the generous support of our volunteers. Our Home Library Volunteers partner with a local library patron and are responsible for selecting and delivering library materials on a regular basis.
The staff at the Wagga Wagga City Library values our volunteers and are committed to providing them with adequate training and support in this important community initiative.
If you are a book lover and wish to be part of a rewarding service, then we would love to hear from you!

Glenfield Road Animal Shelter (GRAS)
Love to help and assist with animals and their welfare!
Wagga Wagga City Council's Glenfield Road Animal Shelter (GRAS) is a state of the art facility for holding impounded dogs and cats. Each year the facility manages approximately 1400 dogs and 600 cats.
Volunteers at the GRAS play a crucial role in supporting Council to deliver animal management services to our community, and we appreciate and value their contributions.
Volunteers at the GRAS assist with many functions including cleaning, feeding, walking and socialising animals. There are two (2) different sections where individuals can apply to volunteer, being either the cattery or the kennels.
