Road Closures & Works

What: Road rehabilitation works
When: From Wednesday 2 January for up to five months, weather permitting
Traffic conditions: Works will be undertaken between 7am-5pm with traffic flow reduced to one lane under the control of traffic lights or traffic controllers. Full access will be reinstated at the end of each shift. Local access will be maintained during works and staff will be on site to assist residents if required.
Road rehabilitation works will start with a drainage and storm water upgrade before new pavement is placed to finish the project. Works will consist of a major upgrade to the existing stormwater drainage system with installation of new culverts, new trickle flow drainage system along the southern side of Lloyd Road and construction of a new granular pavement to meet current engineering standards. The 1.5 kilometre section of road upgrade will start from the intersection of Plumpton Road and extend past Plane Tree Drive.
What: Stabilisation roadworks
When: 12 February to 26 February, weather permitting
Traffic conditions: The works will be undertaken in the block between Tobruk and Marshall streets. Motorists are requested to follow the traffic controls and detours in place.
What: Landscaping of nature strips
When: 11 February to 15 March 2019, 7am to 4pm
Traffic conditions: Detour as per signs, local traffic only. Roads will re-open in the evenings after each shift.
NSW Touch Junior State Cup, Southern Conference
When: 22 to 24 February 2019, 6am to 7pm
Traffic conditions: Red Hill Road will be closed between the Bourke Street and Glenfield Road roundabouts, with detours either via Bruce Street or via Berembee Road, Bourkelands Drive and Holbrook Road. Bourke Street between Bourkelands Drive and Red Hill Road roundabout will also be closed. Road closures will be in place from 6am to 7pm over the three days and detours will be signposted.
