Education & Tours

School groups:

The Marrambidya Wetland provides an ideal location for both primary and secondary school groups to connect the classroom with the local environment and community. This valuable site facilitates positive activities that will encourage students to learn the importance of wetlands in a riverine ecosystem.

Students can undertake various activities including water bug investigations to determine water quality (seasonally available), nest box fauna surveys, identifying birds from the bird hides, viewing the site from the elevated platform and reflect in the Healing Place.

Areas of study include:

  • Bush Ecosystem Investigation
  • Mini Beast Study
  • Soil Studies
  • Water Quality Assessment
  • Wiradjuri Culture Study
