Promoting your event

If you're holding an event then we want to hear about it! Event promotion is one way Wagga Wagga City Council supports events in our city and surrounds.

We can assist with the promotion of your event through the various avenues provided by the Visit Wagga team, from the printed What's On Guide to the online calendar and seasonal marketing campaigns, or through helping you book signage around the city such as the City Entry Signs and the CBD Banner.

The information outlined below will help you determine which promotion opportunities will best suit your event.

Online calendar | List your event

Free event listings are available through the Visit Wagga Wagga website's online calendar. This calendar is hosted by the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW).

Events can be registered in three easy steps:
1. Register a free account with ATDW and login
2. Create an event listing, provide details and a high-resolution image
3. Wait to receive approval

Once approved by ATDW, the event/s are then listed in the online calendar on visitwagga.com as well as on visit.nsw.com.

For further more assistance check out >>>  ATDW event listing step-by-step guide

* Need an image for your event listing? Please feel free to use our Wagga Wagga tourism stock image library to find free, event-appropriate images. Alternatively, royalty-free generic images can be sourced online via a number of websites. One easy-to-use website is Unsplash.

Temporary Event Signage

Wagga Wagga City Council, has made available eight sites on council managed land to provide a facility for the community to advertise upcoming community events.

Each site has in place structures where temporary community event signs can be attached. These structures are designed to reduce sign clutter on our roads and ensure the safety of all road users by minimising any line-of-sight issues.

The temporary use of the community event signage facilities is regulated by Council and subject to conditions as outlined below.

To display or erect an advertising sign or banner on Council land advertising an event a temporary event signage booking form must be completed and provided to council no later than 4 weeks prior to the event date.

Please note: booking a location does not provide sole use of the Community Event infrastructure – the structures are available for multiple community events that have been booked at the location.

Please read through the temporary event signage guidelines and book via the application for temporary event signage online form.
