The Electronic Housing Code used by Council gives you the ability to investigate, prepare and lodge your complying development application electronically.
EXHIBITION OF DRAFT AMENDED POLICY – POL049 SWIMMING POOL SAFETY POLICY
Council hereby gives public notice of the exhibition of its Draft Amended Swimming Pool Safety Policy.
The Policy was amended to :
- Reflect changes resulting from a comprehensive review of the Swimming Pools Act 1992 undertaken by the NSW Department of Local Government in 2012.
- Capture the impact of the legislative changes for pool owners and ensure that both council and the community meet all required legislative requirements.
- Introduce and implement a formalised swimming pool barrier inspection program in consultation with the community.
The Draft Amended Policy will be on exhibition from Wednesday, 7 August 2013 for a period of 40 days, until Monday 16 September 2013. Council invites public submissions on the draft amended policy.
Inspection Venue: The Draft Amended Policy is available for review at Wagga Wagga City Council, Cnr Baylis & Morrow Sts, Wagga Wagga, during the hours of 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday (public holidays excluded) within the above exhibition period. The Draft Policy can also be accessed from Council’s website at www.wagga.nsw.gov.au/public.
Submission Procedure: Persons wishing to make a submission in relation to the Draft Policy should do so prior to Close of Business Monday 16 September 2013. Submissions should be in writing and may be delivered to Wagga Wagga City Council or mailed to the General Manager, Wagga Wagga City Council, PO Box 20, Wagga Wagga, NSW 2650 or emailed to email@example.com. Persons making written submissions regarding the above Policy are advised that any submission received within the submission period may be attached to the final report, in its entirety or in part, to Council unless explicitly requested by the person making the submission that they do not wish this to occur.
EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST - COUNCIL APPROVED CONTRACTORS
Wagga Wagga City Council (“Council”) invites Expressions of Interest (“EOI”) from suitably qualified and experienced contractors interested in becoming Council Approved Contractors.
It is a condition of the Section 68 approvals issued by Council to carry out stormwater or sewer works that the works are carried out by a Council Approved Contractor. This ensures that the work is carried out by suitably qualified and experienced personnel as these works become Council Assets.
Council Approved Contractors will be responsible for the construction of assets such as sewer main extensions, stormwater main extensions and associated works.
Expressions of Interest are open for the period of 22 July – 16 August 2013.

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST TO SERVE ON WAGGA WAGGA CITY COUNCILS' PLANNING ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Policy and Strategy Committee made the following recommendation which was subsequently endorsed by Council at its meeting held on the 25thFebruary 2013:

On the Motion of Councillors J McLaren and K Pascoe
a receive and note the report on Amendment Number 4 to the Wagga Wagga Development Control Plan 2010
b conduct a workshop of Councillors, previous Planning Advisory Committee members (who wish to attend) and staff to consider the proposed alterations to the Wagga Development Control Plan 2010 as outlined in this report
c report the outcomes of the workshop to Council as early as possible
d re-form the Planning Advisory Committee at the earliest possible time
The Wagga Wagga Planning Advisory Committee is made up of 12 development and building industry representatives providing strategic advice to Council on issues relating to development in the Wagga Wagga Local Government area. Vacancies exist on the Planning Advisory Committee and applications are now invited to fill these vacancies.
Applications will be received up to 5.00pm on Friday, 22 March 2013, from interested individuals to serve on the Committee.
