BUSHFOOD TREASURE HUNT & FOOD FEAST

Have you ever wondered how native plants, weeds and bush foods can become part of our everyday lives?

Come on a treasure hunt with Bush Naturopath, Nutritionist & Permaculturalist, Felicity Kerslake. 
Explore and hunt the local Wiradjuri area for common weeds and bushfoods and learn how these plants are used for food and healing of people and Country.

Walks emphasise respecting the traditions and customs of the Aboriginal people, with talks highlighting the importance of sustainable and safe foraging practices to ensure the continued existence of these precious plants for future generations.

The walk will finish off with a delicious morning tea containing a range of bush foods for people to eat and enjoy over a shared morning tea.Come weather ready, with a water bottle, hat and raincoat if needed.

This event workshop is suitable to ages 14 and above. Under 16 year olds require a responsible adult present.

Accessibility:

Wagga Beach is an outdoor space with cement walkways, seating and parking available. This workshop will involve bushwalking off cement tracks and onto dirt, rock and grass paths.
