Airport Taxiway Upgrade

Council is undertaking a $5.7 million project to upgrade and extend taxiways at Wagga Wagga Airport.

Overview

We're upgrading Wagga Wagga Airport's taxiways.

Upgrading works include extending taxiway A to the northern threshold of the main runway, and upgrading both taxiways A and B.

Once upgraded, the taxiways will be able to accommodate larger aircraft, eliminating the need for aircraft to backtrack on the runway for take-off and after landing.

Funding

The estimated total cost of the project is $5.7m and has been funded by the State Government ($5m) and Wagga Wagga City Council ($700k).

This project is supported by the State Government.
