Construction of commuter cycling network between Bakers Land and Elizabeth Avenue, Forest Hill

Work to construct a cycle path between Bakers Lane and Elizabeth Avenue, Forest Hill is expected to start and be completed this calendar year.

After extensive community consultation and planning, the NSW Government announced funding to allow Wagga Wagga City Council to plan, design and implement Council’s Active Travel Plan.

In July 2019, Council approved the Forest Hill link utilising Kyeamba Avenue and the rail corridor east of Bakers Lane to Elizabeth Avenue with a secondary route from the rail corridor north to Elizabeth Avenue behind Brunslea Park estate.

The path will run down the southern side of the railway corridor.
