Construction to start on University Link, Kapooka Link and end of trip facilities

Council will start construction of shared paths in the following locations:

Kapooka Link - The path will be constructed from Red Hill Road along Mima Street (south of the rail corridor) to Fernleigh Road finishing at Pinaroo Drive. Work will be carried out from Monday 22 February between 7am and 6pm, weather permitting.

University Link - The path will be constructed from Harris Road in Gobbagombalin through Estella to Boorooma Street. Work will start Monday 15 February and be carried out between 7am and 6pm, weather permitting.  The existing path behind residences on Doman Street (between Gunn Drive and Boorooma Street) will be closed intermittently in sections to allow for construction activities.

Section 1 - Gunn Drive to Pugsley Avenue
Section 2 - Gunn Drive to Pine Gully Road
Section 3 - Pugsley Avenue to Boorooma Street
Section 4 - Harris Road

Council has constructed 14km of the 45km network of dedicated shared paths.

In addition, construction of the end of trip facilities near the Visitor Information Centre in Tarcutta Street and the Oasis Regional Aquatic Centre in Morgan Street has begun. During the works there will be an increase in heavy vehicle movements.
