Project Updates
Bolton Park new amenities block opens | 24 Aug 2021
The new amenities block has opened at Wagga Wagga’s Bolton Park and is ready for community use.
The upgraded facility provides four change rooms, an adult-accessible lay down change facility, public toilets, canteen, office and storage rooms.
Funded by NSW Government in association with AFL NSW/ACT and Council, the project forms part of Council’s Bolton Park master Plan, designed to develop the precinct into a first-class regional sports hub.
The new amenities block will assist in drawing more sporting events and visitors to our city as well as support local AFL competitions.
An official opening will be held later this year, Covid restrictions permitting.
Works to connect gas to the Bolton Park amenities block will be carried out on Thursday 5 August between 7am and 5pm | 3 Aug 2021
During the works, the playground at Livvi’s Place will be closed and Morgan Street will have changed traffic conditions to allow plant machinery and equipment to be safely used. Traffic control will be in place.
The new amenities block at Bolton Park is expected to be completed next month | 27 Jul 2021
Project Information
The Bolton Park Master Plan adopted by Council in 2019 identified the need for new amenities facilities and a canteen to replace the existing facility.
The upgraded facility will house:
- four change rooms
- accredited adult accessible lay down change facility
- public and accessible toilets
- canteen
- office
- storage rooms
The new amenities block and canteen will benefit students and the wider community by providing modern facilities and an onsite option to take a break without having to leave the grounds.
