Together with the NSW Government and AFL NSW ACT, we have constructed a new amenities facility and canteen for Bolton Park.

Project Overview

Completed in 2021, the Bolton Park Amenities project delivered a modern amenities block and canteen as part of Council's long-term vision to develop Bolton Park into a premier regional sporting precinct. The project was identified in the Bolton Park Master Plan, adopted by Council in 2019, and replaced the ageing facilities previously servicing the site.

The new facility includes four unisex change rooms, an accredited adult-accessible lay down change facility, public toilets, a canteen, office space and storage areas. These upgraded amenities provide improved accessibility, comfort and convenience for sporting clubs, participants, spectators and the wider community.

Funded by the NSW Government in association with AFL NSW/ACT and Wagga Wagga City Council, the project supports the continued growth of community sport and helps strengthen Bolton Park's role as a regional sporting hub capable of attracting major events and visitors to the city.

Bolton Park new amenities block opens | 24 Aug 2021

The new amenities block has opened at Wagga Wagga’s Bolton Park and is ready for community use.

The upgraded facility provides four change rooms, an adult-accessible lay down change facility, public toilets, canteen, office and storage rooms.

Funded by NSW Government in association with AFL NSW/ACT and Council, the project forms part of Council’s Bolton Park master Plan, designed to develop the precinct into a first-class regional sports hub.

The new amenities block will assist in drawing more sporting events and visitors to our city as well as support local AFL competitions.

An official opening will be held later this year, Covid restrictions permitting.

Works to connect gas to the Bolton Park amenities block will be carried out on Thursday 5 August between 7am and 5pm | 3 Aug 2021

During the works, the playground at Livvi’s Place will be closed and Morgan Street will have changed traffic conditions to allow plant machinery and equipment to be safely used. Traffic control will be in place.

The new amenities block at Bolton Park is expected to be completed next month | 27 Jul 2021

Upon its completion, the structure will house four unisex change rooms which provide sport players suitable spaces to use before and after matches, an adult-accessible lay down change facility, public toilets, a canteen, office space and storage rooms.
