Old Narrandera Road reopened to through traffic earlier this week. While the road is open, the remaining works being carried out under traffic control including a reduced speed limit of 40 kilometres per hour.
Contractors are currently completing work on the road base, which will provide a solid foundation for the road surface.

Once the final seal has been applied, contractors will move onto the finishing touches, which will include installing guard rails and signage and undertaking line marking.

Old Narrandera Road will be closed to all through traffic from Thursday 7 September until Wednesday 4 October, weather permitting.
The road will be closed between the Olympic Highway and Pine Gully Road to allow for the next stage of the current upgrade project.
Local River Road traffic will maintain access under traffic control and detours will be in place for all other traffic.
The first stage of works which has focused on Pine Gully Road, between Old Narrandera Road and Muttama Parade, will be completed in the coming days.
This will see the following completed:

Pine Gully Road closure | 14 Aug 2023
The section of Pine Gully Road between Muttama Parade and Old Narrandera Road will be closed to traffic from Monday 14 August as part of the Old Narrandera Road Upgrade project.
This phase of the $1.7million dollar project to improve traffic flow and safety is expected to take three weeks to complete, weather permitting.
It includes widening the existing Pine Gully Road section and the intersection of Old Narrandera Road and the installation of box culverts to provide proper drainage system.
Detours are in place while the work is being carried out.
Old Narrandera Road will remain open to traffic during this phase of the project.
Council and the contractor are working together to minimize the impact on normal traffic by reducing the duration of the road closure time considering the amount of work involved in this project.
