In May 2022, consultants for Wagga Wagga City Council carried out a comprehensive inspection of the Umbango Creek Bridge.
A report defining the issues affecting the bridge and a recommended solution has been provided to Council.
After reviewing the report, Council will undertake any recommended immediate remedial action.
We will then begin planning a longer-term solution to refurbish and repair the bridge to ensure it can safely carry the required loads without compromising the safety and usability of the structure.
This process is expected to take 6-12 months to complete.
