Lake Albert
Lake Albert is one of Wagga Wagga’s premier recreational destinations, offering a range of activities including boating, fishing, swimming, and other water-based pursuits.
A popular feature of the lake is the 5.5-kilometre walking track, frequently used by walkers, joggers, and cyclists. Along the eastern side of the track, eight outdoor fitness stations are spaced across four locations, providing a convenient way for visitors to incorporate strength and conditioning into their exercise routines.
Two public boat ramps provide access to the lake — one at Bosley Park near the Wagga Wagga Boat Club on the western shore, and another at Apex Park on the eastern side. Apex Park also features a family-friendly playground, including a fenced area designed specifically for younger children.
Lake Albert is both family and dog friendly (dogs must be on a lead), making it an ideal spot for locals and visitors alike to relax, explore, and enjoy the outdoors.
