Bill Jacob Athletics Centre
The Bill Jacob Athletics Centere is a state-of-the-art athletics track and field venue, featuring a world-class all-weather 400m synthetic track.
The recently completed multi-million-dollar redevelopment has transformed the centre into the premier hub for inclusive athletic training and competition in Wagga Wagga – one capable of hosting events at regional, state, and national levels.
Located within Jubilee Park, the facility also offers convenient amenities such as toilets, change rooms, a playground, and a large car park adjacent to the main entrance.
Please note: Golf is strictly prohibited on the Bill Jacob Athletic Centre grounds.

Facilities:
- 400m all weather synthetic track
- 3 x Shotput rings with disability option (2 at eastern end and 1 on the western end)
- 1 x Discus/hammer net (western end)
- 1 x Discus net (eastern end)
- 2 x High jumps
- 2 x Javelin (these will be marked outside the facility for school events for safety)
- 4 x long jump/triple jump pits
- 1 x Pole vault (currently not active)

About Bill Jacob
Bill Jacob played a significant role in founding the Kooringal Athletics Club in 1978 and was President when the Club was renamed the Kooringal-Wagga Athletics Club and incorporated in 1988.
Bill took great pride in being part of the Jubilee Park facility’s development and offered countless hours of unpaid work to build and complete the complex. As a result of Bill’s commitment to athletics he became a life member with the Kooringal-Wagga Athletics Club.
Becoming a highly qualified and dedicated coach, Bill spent 40 years helping aspiring track and field athletes, as well as mentoring the next generation of Riverina athletics coaches.
