Road Works & Closures

Council has embarked on a major program of repair, rehabilitation and renewal works on several key connector and heavily used roads in the local government area in the first half of 2024.

While Council makes every effort to reduce the impacts works and other events have on our road network, closures are at times necessary for the safety of both the public and our workers.

Live Traffic NSW provides real-time information about roads and changed traffic conditions that affect your journey on roads across all New South Wales.

You can find out about changes resulting from:

• scheduled and unscheduled roadwork
• special events
• emergency situations such as road accidents or floods
• other unplanned disruptions.

All road works are subject to change without notice due to weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances.

Wagga Wagga City Council is responsible for the maintenance of all local roads, whilst Transport for NSW is responsible for the maintenance of all major roads and highways.
