The bike rack is a purpose built artwork made for use by the general public. The bike rack is influenced by local symbolism, the crow and the Murrumbidgee River.

The bike rack was created under the direction of local artist Casey Ankers, and designed and constructed by Steven King with participants from the Community Arts Project on a Work-for-the-Dole scheme auspiced by Mission Australia in 2001-2002. The artwork was launched during Bike Week 2002, with cyclists now having a creative place to park their bikes.
