10 August 2021: Water recedes; road repairs to start
The Murrumbidgee River is currently at 5.4m with 34,000 Megalitres a day going past Wagga Wagga.
The projected outcomes from WaterNSW mean the river will continue falling over the next few days.
As the water recedes from Mundowy Lane and River Road, repairs will need to be undertaken to ensure the road surface is safe and trafficable for all vehicles.
The equipment and facilities at the beach area in both Wagga Wagga and Oura will need to be cleaned and assessed by staff before they can be used by the public.
