At the start of November 2022, the Wagga Wagga Local Government Area (LGA) experienced its largest flooding event since 2012.
The Murrumbidgee River peaked at the major flood level of 9.72 metres in Wagga Wagga on 4 November. The flooding resulted in several areas within the city boundaries, North Wagga and villages along the river being evacuated and/or isolated for several days.
It was one of four Murrumbidgee River flooding events in our LGA between August and November.
