11 August 2021: Repairs to start on Mundowy Lane
The Murrumbidgee River has fallen to a height of 5.2m and will continue to fall slowly over the next few days as the output from Burrinjuck Dam continues to decrease inline with WaterNSW policies.
The water across Mundowy Lane has receded to the point where rehabilitation of the shoulders and repair of the potholes and the seal can take place.
A short section of the Mundowy Lane pavement is still saturated and Council will keep traffic off this section to allow it to dry out. There will be traffic control in place for the next few days to allow this to occur.
River Road still has water flowing across it and the road will remain closed as rehabilitation of the causeway cannot occur until this flow has ceased.
