11 November 2021: Storms to push river level higher
The Murrumbidgee River is currently at 4.8m and will continue to rise over the next few hours as discharge from the dams over the past few days makes its way through the system.
The rain prediction from the Bureau of Meteorology has reduced slightly but substantial rain is still expected, starting tonight for the next 36-48 hours.
There may be heavy rain if a storm occurs locally and Council reminds the community to be mindful of water over roads and paths across the city.
If you require immediate assistance, the SES is the agency for storms and floods and can be contacted on 132 500.
Council is monitoring the potential rainfall event and the height of the river and will manage infrastructure and facilities across the city.
