19 November 2021: River edges closer to 6m as flows increase
The Murrumbidgee River is currently 5.9m with 38,000 megalitres flowing past Wagga Wagga.
There are 41,000 megalitres flowing past Gundagai which will arrive in Wagga over the next 24 hours.
Kohlhagens and Armstrongs Reserves are already inundated and closed. Mundowy Lane is expected to become inundated sometime after lunch today (19 November). Council will have traffic control in place.
Council also advises that the lifebuoys at Wagga Wagga Beach have been relocated due to rising water.
The safety equipment is temporarily located at the amenities block with the defibrillator.
