9 August 2021: Water dropping; roads still affected
The Murrumbidgee river at Wagga Wagga is currently at 5.8m and has dropped approximately 600mm in the last 24 hours.
The outflows from Burrinjuck Dam have decreased to 12,000 ML/day and will be at or below this level for the next few days. By midweek in Wagga the river will reflect these decrease and paths and roads should begin to reopen.
River Road is still currently closed due to 350mm over water over the crossing.
Mundowy Lane is still under traffic control and once the road clears of water repairs will need to be undertaken to the damaged seal and the shoulders.
With minimal rain forecast for this week, Council is hoping all closures are finalised by the end of the week.
