7 August 2022 at 11am: Road closures
Road closures due to flooding: River Road and Mundowy Lane expected.
- River Road is closed to through traffic at Houlaghans Creek.
- Water over Road on Mundowy Lane: Approximately 200mm of water is flowing across Mundowy Lane as at 11am, and Council expects to close the lane to through traffic later today.
Drivers are reminded to not drive through flooded roads, and obey road closure signs.
The Wagga Beach carpark and Riverside precinct will remain closed and residents are urged not to enter any floodwaters.
Council will continue monitoring the river system and our infrastructure to ensure there is maximum safety and minimum disruption to our services. Council will continue to work with the SES and monitor and prepare for the impact of moderate flooding.
