NSW Government Department of Communities and Justice are responsible for the response to homelessness in New South Wales. Council is providing this information to assist community members on where to find help.

- Wagga Wagga Women’s Health Centre closed public holidays only
- DCJ Housing will be closed on the standard public holidays over the Christmas / New Year period:
- Closed – Monday 25th & Tuesday 26th December 2023
- Closed – Monday 1st January 2024
- Ashmont Community Centre will be closed from 1pm Thursday 21st Dec and reopen Tuesday 2nd Jan for ER supports only, full staff attendance will be from Monday 8th Jan
- Tolland Hub Close down: 23 December to 2 January 2024
- Food relief only: 27 December from 11am to 1pm
- Kooringal Hub close down 22 December to 3 January 2024
- Food relief 28 December from 11am to 1pm
- Salvo’s Doorways will be closed from 12pm 20th December – re open the 3rd January.
- VERTO will be closed as of 12pm on 22 December and re-open on 2 January 2024
- SPLASH Laundrette x Orange Sky will be operating as usual:
- Tuesday 1pm -3pm @ 68 Berry Street, Wagga
- Wednesdays 1pm – 3pm @ Turvey Park Shopping Centre
- Thursdays 1pm – 3pm @ Kooringal mall
- Community Corrections will be closed 25th 26th and 27th December 2023 and 1st January 2024
- Legal Aid’s Wagga office will be closed from Monday, 25 December and will reopen on Monday, 8 January. For any urgent legal issues requiring legal advice, please call LawAccess on 1300 888 529.
- Relationships Australia: Thursday 21st December 2023 and returning on Friday 5th January 2024
- Pathways Murrumbidgee office will be closed from 3pm Friday 22nd December until reopening on Tuesday 2nd Jan 2024.

As of 3 August 2021, standard national and mobile calls are free of charge from all Telstra payphones. Telstra also has a number of Wi-Fi hotspots throughout Wagga Wagga available 24/7.
