The Museum of Riverina invites the community of Wagga to a stunning cultural exhibition that explores Wiradjuri/Wiradyuri culture, language, the creation of cultural objects and caring for Country.
The Wiradyuri Gallery features seven objects returned to Wiradjuri/Wiradyuri country from the Australian Museum.
Botanic Gardens Site
The Museum's Botanic Gardens site is a great place to discover the Wagga Wagga story and engage with the Riverina's natural environment and has its own station on the Willans Hill Miniature Railway line. The Museum is a short walk from the Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens and zoo.
At the Museum of the Riverina Botanic Gardens site you will see:
- Wiradjuri/ Wiradyuri First Nations items of significance
- Objects and stories from local history
- Schoolhouse
- Sporting Hall of Fame
- Farm Machinery
- Kidzone
- Workshop space
The Museum of the Riverina - Botanic gardens site will be open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm, Sunday 10 am to 2 pm and will be closed on Mondays.
