Council is committed to ensuring a full range of services and specialised assistance is available for Senior Citizens within our community. Our community workers provide information, referrals and assistance on aged care matters as well as organising a range of activities throughout the year.

Community Centres in Wagga Wagga
Community Centres aim at providing a variety of activities to foster wellbeing and lifelong learning for the members of our community. The centres have a fully accessible hall and kitchen facilities available for community use to run activities between 7am and 11pm. Bookings can be made by contacting Council's booking officer on 1300 292 442, or via email council@wagga.nsw.gov.au
Wagga Wagga Seniors Community Centre
Centrally located, purpose build facility, in Tarcutta Street is primarily utilised by the Wagga Wagga Senior Citizens Club and a wide variety of other senior groups, including probus groups, dancing groups and many more. The activities at the centre are run by seniors for seniors and respond to diverse needs and interests of the older members of our community.

Seniors Community Centre is a community hub for older adults to come together and join in diverse range of activities including indoor bowls, cards, art and craft, computers, line dancing, sing along, luncheons, general meetings and many other special activities. Please note that membership is required to participate in those programs.
The Wagga Wagga Senior Citizens Computer Club
Come along and make use of the technology available at the Seniors Community Centre. There are opportunities to book one on one computer lessons that cater for all seniors including beginners not yet quite comfortable on their computers to more advanced seniors wanting to up skill in Social Networking. Home Library
Wagga Wagga City Library offers a free home delivery service for the library patrons
This is a joint initiative between Wagga Wagga City Library and Home and Community Care (HACC) to extend services to its members and connect them with like minded book lovers who have a few hours to spare to select and deliver items to library patrons. For more information please click here

NSW Isolated Patient Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme provides financial assistance to people who need to travel more than 200kms each way for specialist medical treatment or oral surgery which is not available locally - Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Schem(IPTAAS)
NSW Seniors Card holders are entitled to travel concessions including half-fare for rail, bus and ferry
