Wagga Wagga City Council maintains six Cemeteries (four Rural, one Monumental and one Lawn) and one Crematorium.

Cemetery Update - Memorial plaques and headstones

All memorial components are to be ordered through the Cemetery office and must be ordered and/or approved by the Grantee or Authority for Burial. Funeral Directors are not permitted to order memorials on behalf of families.

Staff at the Cemetery are available to assist you in choosing the right memorial for your loved one. If you reside locally, an appointment can be made to discuss your requirements. Please note, the scheduling of appointments for the preparation of memorials may take up to a month, depending on the current number of active requests underway.

Alternatively, many memorial requests can be progressed using a combination of emails and phone calls if desired.

Please contact the Cemetery office on 02 6926 9310 or email your initial memorial enquiry to cemetery@wagga.nsw.gov.au

Please note: Cemetery staff are receiving an increasing number of requests for assistance with the development of memorial items and other essential services. We advise that there may be up to a two-week timeframe for the preparation of quotations.

Your patience at this time is greatly appreciated.
