Community safety is about recognising the need for all sections of the community to work together to create a safe environment for people to work, live, and travel.
This means building partnerships between police, government agencies, local councils, community organisations, and individuals, to promote and realise community safety for all.
Our Community Safety Action Plan
The Community Safety Action Plan 2022-2026 outlines the strategies and actions for the next four years to increase safety, reduce crime where possible and work toward building a safe and vibrant city for the future. The detailed action plan and responsibilities in partnership with NSW Police and other key stakeholders can be found in our Community Safety Action Plan 2022-2026
