Who can notify to trade as a food stall holder?
- All first time food stall holders
- Registered home-based businesses, mobile food vending vehicles and commercial businesses based/located in Wagga Wagga’s local government area
How do I notify a Temporary Event?
If you are handling *Potentially Hazardous Foods (PHF), please ensure you have the following documents ready to attach to the application:
- NSW Food Safety Supervisor certificate
To notify your Temporary Event, complete Part A and Part B of the online Application for Registration - Temporary Event Food Stall form.
Note: If assistance is required in completing the Temporary Event Notification, you could visit Council and ask for an Environmental Health Officer to assist you in this process using Council’s online kiosk.
How do I renew my notification within 12 months
To continue trading as a food business at a temporary event, Wagga Wagga City Council’s Environmental Health Section will email you prior to your notification expiring, and provide you with a link to renew.
During your renewal, ensure you have copies of your:
- Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) Certificate
Attach your current FSS certificate in reply to Council email. Follow the link on the renewal notification email, and complete online Part A only for renewals.
Food businesses from outside the Wagga Wagga LGA
- Food businesses not based in Wagga Wagga wishing to trade at temporary events in the local government area will need to notify Council’s Environmental Health Section through the online process.
- Food vending vehicles, home based businesses and commercial businesses that are registered with other Councils, that wish to trade outside of Wagga Wagga’s temporary events, will need to seek approval from the relevant sections of Council and State department where required

- The most recent food premises inspection report (within 12 month period) which has been performed by your local council

How do I renew my notification within 12 months
To continue trading as a food business at a temporary event, Wagga Wagga City Council will contact you by email before your notification expires, and provide you with a link to renew.
During your renewal, ensure you have copies of your:
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- The most recent food premises inspection which has been performed by your local council (applies only to mobile food vending vehicles)
